Cut-To-Length Logging System

VM West employs a state-of-the-art cut-to-length logging system for precise, environmentally conscious forest management. Our Ponsse teams, equipped with rubber tires or tracks for challenging terrain, ensure exceptional maneuverability and access. The harvester and forwarder work together to manage vegetation and slash, efficiently meeting fuels reduction goals. This innovative system provides a flexible, sustainable approach tailored to each project’s needs.

Whole-Tree Logging System

In addition to the cut-to-length system, VM West offers traditional whole tree logging systems to address varied project needs. This includes: Feller Bunchers, Skidders (both tracked and wheeled), and Processors (both tracked and wheeled).

Log Trucks

Our fleet includes traditional log trucks, long log trucks, and self-loading log trucks, ensuring the seamless transport of products from project areas.

Masticators

VM West operates tracked, boom-mounted masticators, including TimberPro machines and skid steers. These tools are highly effective for mastication on steeper slopes, delivering efficient and desired outcomes.

T-Winch

The Ecoforst T-Winch is a recent addition to our fleet, revolutionizing our ability to safely and efficiently treat steep slopes. By utilizing the T-Winch, VM West expands operational feasibility to areas traditionally requiring helicopter access.
